Generally yacht buying services are provided by russian companies in our country. Statuslux is an italian company, but it works successfully in the russian market. The company's founder Michael Magri Von Schuttenhelm gave an interview to aquatoria explaining the advantages of his company's services.
Mister Magri, we know that you have a more than 20 years' experience of working in the market behind your back. Tell us more particularly what services are offered by your company across the post-Soviet territories.
- Statuslux was created to provide high quality services to clients. They include not only controlling the building process and purchase, but also consulting, registering a legal entity to buy the yacht, if needed, finding suitable financing solutions, organizing a leasing programme for clients, chartering the client's yacht, finding crew.
Is Italian leasing any better?
- The advantages of Italian leasing are low interest rates (less than 5% yearly), the lowest in Europe VAT rate as well as privately made transactions. We have power to organize lease and charter simultaneously in such a way that the lease will be covered by the income from chartering.
What sizes of yachts do you work with?
- We specialize in steel and aluminium megayachts from 50 to 120 metres, exclusively built by the leading Italian naval architects in close cooperation with the client.
Which shipyards and architects building yachts of this size do you work with?
- We cooperate with Italian shipyards exclusively. Best of the best are chosen to satisfy all our clients' wishes. I'd also like to mention that we are dealers of helicopter manufacturer Augusta Westland. As a rule, Statuslux clients are very busy people who value their time and therefore can appreciate the importance of having a helicopter onboard their yacht.
What about smaller-sized yachts?
- Statuslux is Inrizzardi exclusive dealer in the former Soviet Union. It is one of the three biggest European yachting groups. At the moment the company's model line includes over 30 semi-custom yachts from 12 to 42 metres. Among Inrizzardi's clients are European and Middle Eastern royalty, sports and showbiz celebrities, prominent industrialists from all across the world.
Your company is based in Italy. How do you solve language problems?
- Almost all the company employees are native Russian speakers, which makes the clients feel more comfortable.
What is the price range for your yachts?
- Our company's idea is to offer luxury-class yachts made in Italy from scratch at prices that could really attract the clients.
